As a Precision Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the commercial sales and service team on a range of Precision Technology products.
Responsibilities
- You will work closely with the sales managers and product support team to incorporate technology into every discussion and sale;
- As the subject matter expert, you will deliver presentations and demonstrations to showcase our technological capabilities;
- You will serve as the primary point of contact for all questions relating to the precision equipment;
- Understand the technical terms of GPS/GLONASS, know the difference between a 2D and 3D precision system, application control, telematics, mapping, etc.;
- Responsible for providing ongoing precision training to the sales representatives and product support team to ensure an understanding of precision technologies and equipment monitoring tools;
- Promote the digital customer onboarding of equipment monitoring tools;
- Assist the team of technicians in installing, calibration and diagnosing technologies on construction/heavy machinery (GPS);
- Provide Precision technical assistance and after sales follow-ups with customers;
- Adhere to all occupational Health and Safety standards. The company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees.
Profile
- Geomatics/Civil Engineering diploma or at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Background in construction/heavy machinery and/or machine automation;
- Experience with surveying equipment (GNSS/Total Stations);
- Experience and understanding of underground locators and Ground Penetrating Radar;
- Thorough understanding of survey field and office software and CAD systems;
- Talent for building and maintaining healthy profitable customer relationships;
- Strong communicator and collaborators, with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in both French and English to serve french and english speaking customers of our branches located in Quebec and Ontario;
- Self-disciplined, highly organized with strategic planning skills and the ability to work independently.
