Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative – Hydraulic Parts & Service to join our team. In this role, you will support customers by identifying hydraulic components, providing technical product guidance, preparing quotes, and coordinating service work. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and enjoys helping customers solve problems. This position plays a key role in ensuring fast, accurate, and reliable support for our hydraulic parts and service operations.
Customer Service & Sales
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and counter sales regarding hydraulic parts and service needs.
• Recommend appropriate hydraulic components, assemblies, and service solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, pricing, and sales orders.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide ongoing support.
• Upsell compatible products, upgrades, and service offerings when appropriate.
Technical Support
• Identify hydraulic parts based on customer descriptions, photos, measurements, or schematics.
• Assist customers with troubleshooting basic hydraulic issues.
• Interpret technical documentation such as part catalogs, drawings, and spec sheets.
• Communicate technical information clearly to customers and internal teams.
Order Management
• Enter and process sales orders accurately in Business system.
• Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers for non-stock or special-order parts.
• Track orders and communicate delivery timelines to customers.
• Ensure correct pricing, availability, and lead times.
Inventory & Product Management
• Maintain knowledge of inventory, product lines, and new hydraulic technologies.
• Assist in managing stock levels by reporting frequent requests or shortages.
• Support receiving and restocking of parts when needed.
Internal Coordination
• Work with service technicians to schedule repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance jobs.
• Communicate customer needs and job details to the service department.
• Provide administrative support to service workflows (job sheets, quotes, work orders).
General Administrative Tasks
• Maintain accurate customer records and notes.
• Support filing, document control, and order follow-up.
Education and Knowledge:
• Requires high school diploma or GED
• Certified Forklift Operator an asset
Experience:
• 5 years plus experience in heavy duty parts, drivetrain related an asset.
