Key Account Manager Opportunity in Conroe, TX

Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading provider of foundation equipment and support to the foundation construction industry in search of a Key Account Manager to join their team in Conroe, TX.

This is a full-time position and would report to the Director of Sales.

The Key Account Manager is accountable for: developing and implementing strategies to capture and expand sales according to the organization's short- and long-range goals and objectives. Directs and coordinates activities of sales representatives and aids upper management in formulating and administering sales policies and directs activities of sales development in assigned territory

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides product, application, competitive, sales, forecasting and general training at regular intervals.
  • Maintains and adds to a satisfied customer base by responding immediately to customer needs.
  • Maintains open and frequent communication with factory, dealers, sales personnel and other departments.
  • Develops an annual budget and forecast and reviews them quarterly. Forecasts and reports on sales activity.
  • Provides complete sales coverage using all available marketing techniques and systems necessary.
  • Supports and promotes Service Departments.
  • Investigates product/service warranty claims to ensure resolution within organization policies.
  • Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management.
  • Coordinates company technical engineering support and services to ascertain customer's needs.
  • Promotes products at trade shows and conferences.
  • Maintains awareness of market changes and needs, pricing and competition and makes adjustments when and where needed.
  • Travels periodically domestically and occasionally internationally.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Education and Training – Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
  • Technical Requirements – Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagrammatic or schedule form; must possess excellent communication skills; able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.; able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form; able to deal with several abstract and concrete variables; able to compute discount, interest, profit and loss; commission, markup, and selling price; ratio and proportion, and percentage; able to calculate surface, volumes, weights, and measures; able to calculate variables and formulas; monomials and polynomials; ratio and proportion variables; and square roots and radicals; able to calculate plane and solid figures; circumference, area and volume; understand kinds of angles, and properties of pairs of angles; willing and able to travel including internationally and available to work extended hours when required to complete projects on time.
  • Experience – Minimum of 5 years of industry-related training and/or experience.
