Major Accounts Manager Opportunity in Knoxville, TN

Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading Material Handling Equipment Dealer. We are in search of a Major Accounts Manager to join their team in Knoxville, TN.

This team member is responsible for developing opportunities within existing and new accounts assigned in the territory, with the goal of turning as many opportunities into closed-won deals as possible. All while collaborating with pre-sales and post-sales support resources throughout sales campaigns, serving customers in a trusted advisor role by always keeping the customer’s best interests at the forefront and being available to customers in a consultative capacity even during those times the customer is not in the market. This position is characterized by a sustained record of sales achievement and complete knowledge of the organization's policies, products, and services.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Existing National / Major Accounts – Maintain current business levels & cultivate added opportunities through existing customers by providing material handling solutions.
  • Prospecting Accounts – Prospect for new business across multiple functional areas within the company, including leveraging leads provided by marketing, and maintaining the appropriate pipeline coverage.
  • Building Relationships – Gain a deep understanding of the customer’s processes and problems. Ensure the right questions are being asked and answered. Bring unique value to every interaction. Develop relationships with multiple buying personas within the prospect account.
  • Articulating Value – Connect prospect’s business objectives (both functional and corporate) with company solutions. Deploy a customer-centric approach in understanding how the company can do so
  • Driving Sales Execution – Lead enterprise agreements to close being proactive in all aspects of opportunity development. Prepare accurate forecast, building a funnel to cover bookings target, documenting activities in Salesforce and performing other tasks necessary to drive revenue and communicate activities to sales management
  • Closing Opportunities – Develop and actively manage interactions within the customer buying cycle using standard processes. Handle different kinds of sales scenarios and negotiate in a manner that drives towards close.
  • Effective Account Coordination – Use a disciplined approach to effectively and efficiently involve pre-sales and post-sales support. Leverage industry expertise as needed.
  • Demonstrating Company Proficiency – Be proficient with a working knowledge and understanding across all company products and solutions

SKILLS:
  • Bachelor degree, preferably in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program, or several years of successful sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks
  • Strong business acumen to go with great reasoning and problem-solving skills whose not afraid to tactfully ask the right questions
  • Excellent customer service skills including patience and persistence for daily prospecting and maintaining current strong customer relationships
  • A dedicated, self-motivated, energetic mindset focused on solid work ethic
  • Meticulous attention to detail- both methodically and thoroughly
  • Well-rounded coaching ability
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Project a positive and professional image/attitude while interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner
  • A sales professional looking to take the next step up in their career

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based out of the company's Knoxville branch location and will provide coverage to
the surrounding areas.
