Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading Heavy Equipment Dealer. We are in search of a Crane Shop Service Technician to join their team in Tulsa, OK.

Crane Shop Service Technician/Mechanic Job Summary
As a Crane Shop Service Technician/Mechanic, you'll be working closely with service management and responsible for the timely and effective repairs on various brands of construction equipment. This will include diagnosing, parts ordering, technical report writing, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others. You must perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible. This position may require overtime, overnight stay, and occasional weekend work.

Crane Shop Service Technician/Mechanic Essential Functions

  • Perform Shop repairs and maintenance with little or no direct supervision
  • Diagnose and evaluate problems with equipment; make repairs using established guidelines in accordance with established flat rates
  • Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs
  • Notify the manager of any additional work required on the unit
  • Model safe work habits and always abide by all safety policies and procedures
  • Keep rework within established guidelines
  • Organize, clean, and maintain a safe work area
  • Contribute to departmental and product line goals
  • Complete required paperwork efficiently and timely
  • Attend factory and other training as specified by the supervisor
  • Maintain shop equipment in good working condition and keep it clean
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor with customers, managers, and colleagues
  • Promote goodwill with customers and exhibit excellent customer relations behaviors
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the manager

Crane Shop Service Technician/Mechanic Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Two (2) years of continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing cranes
  • Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Furnish and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company
  • Valid Driver's License
