Talon Recruiting has partnered with a National Boiler/Compressor company. We are in search of a Senior Shop Manager to join their team in Willingboro, NJ. This is a great opportunity for rapid growth!

Primary Objective: Oversee Employees and Projects as assigned to ensure safe and efficient
operations from start to finish. Reports Directly to VP Fleet

Job Requirements:
  • Coordinate Emergency rentals through scheduling shop personnel and/or haulers as required

Safety:
  • Maintain safety awareness and compliance at all times.
  • Ensure employees are utilizing the required PPE for each task and all Powerhouse safety rules are being followed.
  • Hold Monthly safety meetings with your direct reports.
  • Active member of the safety committee
Quality:
  • Maintain quality standards and promote as a way of life
  • Identify and correct deficiencies with work completed in the shop and in the field.
  • Complete final inspections of all work. Ensure all paperwork is complete and signed off (by both PH rep and customer if in the field).
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are established in the shop and maintained at all times.
Efficiency:
  • Set Goals for employees to complete projects
  • Set Goal to have all Materials arrive just in time, in the shop, prior to the start of a project/build.
  • Responsible to keep Materials to each project so there is no work stoppage.
  • Use Scheduling of People, Materials, and Equipment for Optimum Efficiency
  • Responsible for employee Performance Reviews (Mid-Year & Year End)
Management:
  • Advocate for compliance with Safety and Quality
  • Hold Quarterly meetings with your team to review issues in the shop, improvement opportunities, and communication.
  • Understand that the success of your team is a direct reflection of your success in motivating them and by the leadership you portray.
  • Complete Weekly report to the VP Fleet on all activities for the week.

Shop Manager Responsibilities Include, but not limited to the following:
  • Ensure every returning rental unit receives an inbound inspection within 3 days of its return.
  • Oversee all OCC’s of the rental fleet units. Ensure all paperwork is completed, pictures are taken, and reports filed as required.
  • Prior to a rental leaving, ensure a Green check list is completed and the unit meets
  • Create, follow, enforce, and edit Standard operating procedures that enhance the support the rental fleet.
  • Schedule manpower and communicate schedule prior to each week to employees
  • Manage NetSuite to ensure the rental equipment list is updated with equipment status, location, and up to date information for the sales team.
  • Work with engineering to ensure all units receive an annual jurisdictional inspection.
  • Support the Rental Coordinator with any transportation activities.
  • Work with engineering to ensure drawings are up to date and utilized for each build.
  • Report all issues during the build process to engineering, ensure changes are reflected in drawings, and follow the EDI process.
  • Follow the BOM and order materials to ensure Just in time delivery is met.
  • Schedule manpower and communicate schedule prior to each week. Update the Lean boards to ensure proper communication on schedule and expectations
