Talon Recruiting has partnered with a National Boiler/Compressor company. We are in search of a Project Manager to join their team in Willingboro, NJ.
Primary Objective: Oversee projects as assigned to ensure safe and efficient operations from start to finish.
Safety:
• Maintain safety awareness and compliance at all times.
• Ensure employees are utilizing the required PPE for each task and all safety
rules are being followed.
• Hold Monthly safety meetings with your direct reports.
Quality:
• Maintain quality standards and promote as a way of life
• Identify and correct deficiencies with work completed both in the shop and out
in the field
• Complete final inspections of all work, both in the shop and in the field. Ensure
all paperwork is complete and signed off (by both PH rep and customer if in
the field).
• Ensure housekeeping standards are established and met at all times.
Efficiency:
• Set Goals for employees to complete projects
• Set Goal to have all Materials on Site before start of each project.
• Responsible to keep Materials to each project so there is no work stoppage.
• Maintain proper work hours and manager overtime per each job.
• Use Scheduling of People, Materials, and Equipment for Optimum Efficiency
• Responsible for Plant Employee Performance Reviews (Mid Year & Year End)
Management:
• Advocate for compliance with Safety and Quality
• Hold Quarterly meetings with your team to review issues in the field,
improvement opportunities, and communication.
• Understand Efficiency comes from Leading by Example and Motivation
• Complete Weekly report to the Operations Manager on all activities for the
period
• Train Employees so that the company can promote from within
• Treat Employees Fairly but within company Policies
• Promote Team Work and Dedication
• Understand they are human and have problems, but also understand their
problems cannot affect their job performance.
• Please request approval for any Management Classes that you feel will help
you to become a better manager. Expectation is for you to take two classes
per year.
Field Work Operations:
Project Manager Responsibilities Include, but not limited to the following:
• Upon receipt of a PO from Sales, create the Sales order in NetSuite to capture
the job
• Reach out to the customer and discuss the project, timeline, and process
• Walk down jobs when required with lead to ensure the field crews understand
the scope of work, timeline, safety requirements, etc.
• Order materials through the purchasing request system in NetSuite
• Verify materials Match BOM and ensure all materials meet quality standards
• Schedule manpower (Through NS) and communicate schedule prior to each
week to employees
• Complete payroll weekly to ensure employees are paid properly
• Periodic check in on long term jobs to ensure work being done meets our
standards and customer is satisfied with the job
• Run job costing reports periodically to ensure jobs are on budget and within
customers’ expectations.
• Manage change orders for all fixed price jobs
• Complete final site walk downs to ensure job was completed properly and to
our standards
• Compile information required to invoice the job
• Follow up with customer to ensure they are satisfied with the work and pass
customer back off to Sales.
